TYPE: Side-by-side ultralight motor glider kitbuilt.

PROGRAMME: Announced in 2000; wing static load testing completed March 2001; Jabiru 3300 prototype (N212XS) first flown 19 July 2003, followed same day by Aero-Vee 2002 VW prototype (N112XS).

COSTS: Estimated completed cost US$28,000 (2003).

DESIGN FEATURES: Based on Sonex fuselage. Quoted build time 1,200 hours.

FLYING CONTROLS: Conventional and manual. Speed brakes.

STRUCTURE: Primarily of 6061 aluminium. Wing has Wortmann FX-61 aerofoil. V tail similar to designer's earlier Moni motor glider.

LANDING GEAR: Tailwheel type; fixed.

POWER PLANT: Choice of engines including 2,180 cc Aero-Vee 2002 VW conversion and 2200 and 3300 Jabiru. Fuel capacity 61 litres (16.0 US gallons; 13.3 Imp gallons) in single fuel tank.
