PROGRAMME: Designed 1997. Prototype N260GT had accumulated 100 hours by 2002.

COSTS: Kit US$38,750; fast-build kit US$49,900; kit and full builder's assistance programme US$84,500.

DESIGN FEATURES: Borrows features from Legend, including laminar flow wing, but employs less costly structural materials; fixed landing gear and piston engine reduce liability insurance costs, compared with turboprop/retractable gear types. Limited aerobatic performance.
Low-wing monoplane of angular appearance, with tall landing gear for ground clearance of 2.03 m (6 ft 8 in) propeller. Sweptback fin; deep rudder. Baggage compartments, both with external doors, fore and aft of cockpit.

FLYING CONTROLS: Conventional and manual. Electrically actuated flaps and three-axis trim.

STRUCTURE: Principally of glass fibre, with some metal sheet and tube.

LANDING GEAR: Tricycle type; fixed. Hydraulic brakes. Tyres 5.00-5.

POWER PLANT: One 194 kW (260 hp) Textron Lycoming IO-540 flat-six driving a two-blade, fixed-pitch propeller in prototype. Option of 224 kW (300 hp) engine and Hartzell constant-speed propeller. Fuel capacity 291 litres (77.0 US gallons; 64.1 Imp gallons) in prototype; 341 litres (90.0 US gallons; 74.9 Imp gallons) in subsequent aircraft.
