PROGRAMME: Based on the TwinStar of 1984 and its 1990 Mark III Classic derivative.

CUSTOMERS: Two flying by end 2002 (plus over 300 of Classic).

COSTS: US$11,058 excluding engine, propeller, instruments, upholstery and covering (2003).

DESIGN FEATURES: Aerodynamic refinements to fuselage carried out by Barnaby Wainfan. Wings and tail fold for transportation and storage. Quoted build time 450 hours.

FLYING CONTROLS: Manual. Half-span ailerons.

STRUCTURE: Welded 4130 chromoly steel fuselage cage. Glass fibre nosecone; fabric-covered aluminium tube wings.

LANDING GEAR: Tailwheel type; fixed. Chromoly construction for high strength.

POWER PLANT: Choice of either 47.8 kW (64.1 hp) Rotax 582 or 59.6 kW (79.9 hp) Rotax 912 UL driving a three-blade propeller. Fuel capacity 37.9 litres (10.0 US gallons; 8.3 Imp gallons).

ACCOMMODATION: Pilot and passenger in side-by-side seating. Doors open forward and are removable.

EQUIPMENT: Optional BRS ballistic parachute.
