TYPE: Six-seat utility transport.

PROGRAMME: Development of previous versions described in 1984-85 and earlier editions of Jane's; beginning in 1964, total of 7,556 earlier Model 206/Skywagons/Super Skylanes/Stationairs/Turbo Stationairs had been built when production was suspended in 1985. New model T206H prototype (N732CP) first flown from Wichita 28 August 1996; new model 206H prototype first flown 6 November 1996; assembly of first Pilot Program T206H began 3 December 1996.
FAA certification of 206H achieved 9 September 1998, followed by approval for T206H on 1 October 1998. First delivery, of 10 206Hs to Uruguayan Air Force, began 8 December 1998.

CURRENT VERSIONS: 206H Stationair and T206H Turbo Stationair (Stationair TC): Standard versions. New features on 206H and T206H comprise fuel-injected engines; new Honeywell avionics; metal instrument panel with backlit, non-glare instruments plus back-up cold fluorescent light system; all-electric engine gauges; stainless steel control cables; epoxy corrosion-proofing; cabin improvements as detailed below; strobe lights; handles and steps to check fuel levels; static wicks; GPU receptacle; and fire extinguisher.
New standard features announced at the NBAA Convention at New Orleans on 9 October 2000, and introduced on 206H and T206H from 2001 model year, include redesigned wingtips, restyled and reclocked main landing gear fairings, improved nose gear fairing, low-drag wing strut fairings, streamlined refuelling and entrance steps, and improved interiors featuring sculptured composite side panels with integrated cupholders and cushioned armrests, removable overhead panels for simplified maintenance, Rosen sun visors, lightweight doors handles, and a 12 V electrical port for use with a portable GPS, CD player or laptop computer. New optional avionics include a 12.7 cm (5 in) Honeywell KMD 550 LCD colour MFD with Stormscope that interfaces with the previously available KLN 94 colour IFR GPS.

Millennium Edition: Special configuration limited edition, announced in February 2000 and available from April 2000. Features redesigned cabin interior with leather seats; floor mats embossed with Cessna Millennium logo; new cup- and chart-holders; Rosen sun visors; polished spinner and cowling fasteners; Goodyear Flight Custom II tyres; Honeywell KLN 94 IFR GPS; new exterior paint scheme; and a pilot's accessory collection.

CUSTOMERS: Total of 195 Stationairs and 407 Turbo Stationairs delivered by 30 September 2003, including five and 32 respectively in the first nine months of 2003. Recent customers include Beijing Sport Aviation School of Beijing, China, which took delivery of one T206H in November 2003.

COSTS: Stationair US$345,000, with NAV I package, US$363,500, with NAV II package US$386,000; Turbo Stationair US$388,000 with NAV I package US$406,500, with NAV II package US$429,600 (all 2003).

DESIGN FEATURES: Generally as for Cessna 172.
Wing section NACA 2412 (modified). Dihedral 2° 14'; incidence 1° 30' at root, -1° 30' at tip.

FLYING CONTROLS: As Cessna 182.

LANDING GEAR: As Cessna 182. Wipline 3450 floatplane conversion certified April 2000.

POWER PLANT: Stationair has one 224 kW (300 hp) Textron Lycoming IO-540-AC1A flat-six piston engine; Turbo Stationair has one 231 kW (310 hp) Textron Lycoming TIO-540-AJ1A turbocharged flat-six piston engine; each drives a three-blade, constant-speed McCauley B3D36C432/80VSA-1 metal propeller. Total fuel capacity 348 litres (92.0 US gallons; 76.6 Imp gallons), of which 329 litres (87.0 US gallons; 72.4 Imp gallons) are usable. Oil capacity 10.4 litres (2.75 US gallons; 2.3 Imp gallons).

ACCOMMODATION: Forward-hinged door, port side; double cargo doors starboard side, each opening away from centre. Six persons in three pairs on contoured, energy-absorbing seats, dynamically tested to 26 g, those for pilot and front seat passenger being vertically adjustable, reclining and mounted on enlarged seat rails with dual locking pins; other seats have reclining backs; inertia reel harnesses for all occupants; tinted windows; hinged front side windows; compositee headliner; multilevel ventilation system; ambient noise reduction soundproofing and double-pin latching system on pilot's door, all standard. Utility interior and air conditioning optional.

AVIONICS: Comms: Bendix/King KX 155A nav/com/glideslope, KMA 28 audio panel, KT 76C Mode C transponder and ELT.
Flight: Bendix/King KI 209 VOR/LOC/GS and KAP 140 two-axis autopilot. Optional NAV I package adds second KX 155A, second KI 209, plus KLN 94 moving map, KMD 550 MFD and MD41-231 GPS-NAV. NAV II adds Bendix/King KCS 55A HSI, Goodrich WX 500 Stormscope and replaces MD41-231 by MD41-233. NAV III package optional, as described in 182 Skylane entry.

EQUIPMENT: Optional equipment includes electric propeller anti-icing, 0.45 m³ (16 cu ft) cargo pod, floatplane provisions kit and oversized rough terrain tyres.
