CURRENT VERSIONS: Champion: Original version, first flown 5 June 1998, introduced in 1999; six flying by 2001. Now discontinued due to inability to meet weight criteria of FAR Pt 103. Prototype converted to Buzz.
Buzz: Stretched version introduced in place of Champion in 2002 at Sun 'n' Fun, when not yet flown; as described.

COSTS: Kit without engine US$10,995 (2002).

DESIGN FEATURES: Generally as for Flyer. Intended to conform to FAR Pt 103. Wings fold for storage. Flying controls provided as completed items. Quoted build time 160 hours.

FLYING CONTROLS: As for Flyer.

STRUCTURE: Fuselage 4130 chromoly steel tube covered with fabric; wing aluminium spar and wooden ribs. Glass fibre cowling.

LANDING GEAR: Tailwheel type; fixed. Bungee cord suspension Maule tailwheel. Mainwheels 8.00-6; hydraulic brakes.

POWER PLANT: One 44.7 kW (60 hp) HKS 700E air-cooled four-stroke engine. Fuel capacity 34 litres (9.0 US gallons; 7.5 Imp gallons) in single wing tank.
