PROGRAMME: Epic LT announced at AirVenture, Oshkosh, July 2003; first flight (N370JP) 17 July 2004. Initially available as Experimental category kitbuilt with Walter or PT6A engine with first components delivery of this version in first quarter of 2005. First customer completion was N89CL by Carlton Cadwell. First Dynasty (C-FJRQ) completed from 14th LT airframe; initial public display at NBAA Convention, Orlando, Florida, 17 October 2006. Canadian certification expected in 2008.

CURRENT VERSIONS: Epic LT: As described. Experimental category version; kitbuilt. Available as Model 800 with Walter engine or Model 1200 with P&W.
Dynasty: Certified version; available from early 2008.
Epic Jet: Twin-turbofan version produced in collaboration with TAM of Georgia. Described separately.

CUSTOMERS: More than 50 orders tor LT by July 2005. Eight LTs flying by 19 December 2006, on which day N468TT (c/n 012) made initial sortie.

COSTS: Experimental category kit USD895,000 with Walter engine; USD1.16 million with PT6A. Certified Dynasty USD1.95 million (PT6A) (2006).

DESIGN FEATURES: “Full people; full fuel; full speed” capability intended. Designed for owner/operator requiring luxury motorcar standard of comfort; interior styled by Nissan Design Centre. Optional winglets.

FLYING CONTROLS: Conventional and manual. Flaps.

STRUCTURE: Generally of carbon fibre.

POWER PLANT: One turboprop: 560 kW (751 shp) Walter M 601 or 895 kW (1,200 shp) Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-67 according to version. Standard fuel capacity 1,136 litres (300 US gallons; 250 Imp gallons) gross, of which 1,091 litres (288 US gallons; 240 Imp gallons) usable; optional long-range tanks of unspecified volume.

ACCOMMODATION: Six persons, including pilot(s); rear occupants in ‘club four’ configuration. Cabin pressurised. Cabin pressure differential 0.45 bar (6.5 lb/sq in).
