Walter Davis formed Davis Aircraft Corp. January 1929 at Richmond, Indiana, to take over Vulcan Aircraft, thus American Moth became Davis Monoplane. Test pilot Louis Love shared in design of Love (Davis) Racer 1929; parasol later moved down to fuselage and engine fully cowled.
