SkyStar Aircraft Corporation took over Kitfox programme from former Denney Aerocraft Company in 1993. Kitfox production continues. By 2000, more than 4,000 Kitfox kits had been sold. In 1998, the company added the Kitfox Lite and in the following year streamlined its range. The Series 6 Kitfox and Kitfox Lite² were added in January 2000; the Series 7 was introduced early 2002 to replace the Series 6; the Kitfox Lite² was completed in 2003.
Rights to Aero Designs Pulsar purchased in late 1996, but in July 1999 the design was sold to the Pulsar Aircraft Corporation.
In early 2001, Skystar opened a spare parts shop at Caldwell and launched an Internet retailing operation.
