Formed 1978 by Gene Sheehan and Tom Jewett, Quickie Aircraft Corp., Mojave, CA, produced distinctive Quickie single-seater (15 November 1977) with main wheels in spats on tips of long-span foreplane; over 2,000 kits delivered. Leg-Air built prototype of 2-seat Quickie Q2 (1 July 1980), 250 kits sold in first month.
