Pitcairn imported Avro-built Cierva C.8W autogyro January 1929 and set up Pitcairn Autogiro Co., Willow Grove, PA. Larsen left, replaced by Paul E. Hovgard, producing PCA-1, similar to C.8W, PCA-2 3-seat 300-hp (1930), 21 built, PAA-1/PA-20/PC-2-30 all 110-125 hp, PA-18 180-hp 2-seater (about 20), PCA-3/PA-21/PA-34 all 300 hp with direct-control rotor, and ending with about 6 PA-19 (420-hp) 4-seaters with fixed wing before liquidation 1940, ironically assets being taken over by former chief engineer to form Pitcairn-Larsen Autogiro Co., which shortly became AGA Aviation Corp.
