Gates-Day Aircraft Corp. formed 1927 at Paterson, NJ, to produce aircraft to Charles H. Day’s design, starting with Standard J-1 (1917) and continuing with Standard G-D-24 5-seat biplane (December 1927). Became New Standard 1928.
