Formed 1920 at Santa Monica by wealthy sportsman David R. Davis and aircraft designer Donald Wills Douglas. Office behind barber shop on Pico Boulevard. Built Cloudster for Davis, then 38 DT-2 torpedo bombers. Re-formed as the Douglas Co. July 1921.
