AIRFRAME: Braced biplane. Alternative all-metal wings, or all-wood wing structure covered with heavy plywood skin. Ailerons, of simplified sheet melal construction, on lower wings only. Provision for detachable plastics wingtips. Sheet melal fuselage and tail unit. Turtledeck either sheet metal or reinforced plastics. Non-retractable tailwheel landing gear.

POWER PLANT: Prototype has 74.5 kW (100 hp) Rolls-Royce Continental O-200-A. Provision for other engines, including Volkswagen conversions. Standard fuel capacity 50 litres (13.2 US gallons; 11 Imp gallons). Provision for external 'bullet' tank of 50 litres (13.2 US gallons; 11 Imp gallons) capacity under fuselage.
