RAA VOYAGER E-7 BUSHPLANE

TYPE: Light utility transport.

PROGRAMME: Incomplete fuselage exhibited at AirVenture, Oshkosh, July 2006; seeking partners to launch production.

CURRENT VERSIONS: Model 300: Baseline version: tailwheel; 224 kW (300 hp) Textron Lycoming IO-540 piston engine and short (11.73 m; 38 ft 5¾ in) wing span. MTOW 2,200 kg (4,850 lb); range 1,133 n miles (2,100 km; 1,304 miles) with 30 min reserves.
Model 400: As described.
Model 750 Turbo: With 559 kW (750 shp) Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A turboprop. Otherwise generally as Model 400, except all-metal wing and eight fuel tanks, combined capacity 800 litres (211 US gallons; 176 Imp gallons); max level speed 170 kt (315 km/h; 196 mph); range 809 n miles (1,500 km; 932 miles); MTOW 2,700 kg (5,952 lb).

DESIGN FEATURES: Modelled on capabilities of DHC-2 Beaver. High, constant-chord, strut-braced wing; low, constant-chord tailplane; sweptback fin with small fillet. Landing gear, engine and wing area options.

FLYING CONTROLS: Conventional and manual.

STRUCTURE: Generally of metal, but fabric-covered wing (except metal for Model 750).

LANDING GEAR: Tricycle type; fixed. Telescopic mainwheel legs hinged to lower sides of fuselage and braced to centreline by V-type radius arms. Cantilever, trailing link nose unit. Model 300 has tailwheel and main leg attachments further forward. Optional floats and skis.

POWER PLANT: One 298 kW (400 hp) Textron Lycoming IO-720 piston engine. Fuel in six tanks, total capacity 432 litres (114 US gallons; 95.0 Imp gallons).

ACCOMMODATION: Seven persons, including one or two pilots. Two doors each side, separated by central window. Forward doors totally transparent.
