TYPE: Twin-turboprop amphibian.
PROGRAMME: First details revealed in early 2006; no development/production timetable disclosed.
DESIGN FEATURES: Optimised for both passenger and cargo carrying, with emphasis on opening new air routes to remote locations. Slightly sweptback wings with moderate anhedral mounted on fuselage shoulders; wingtip floats. Barrelled hull cross-section with large sponsons for water stability. Twin, outward-canted fins supporting single-piece tailplane; engine attached to leading-edge of each fin. Rear cargo ramp between fins. Operable in wave heights up to 0.8 m (2 ft 6 in).
FLYING CONTROLS: Conventional and manual. Single-piece elevator with large tab: inset rudder, with tab, in each fin; tab in each aileron. Slotted flaps.
LANDING GEAR: Tailwheel type; retractable. Twin wheels on each main leg retract into sponsons.
POWER PLANT: Two turboprops. Option of 1,044 kW (1,400 shp) RKBM TVD-1500 or 1,062 kW (1,424 shp) Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-67R.
ACCOMMODATION: Nominal seating for 27 passengers at 80 cm (31½ in) pitch; combi interior for cargo, including vehicles loaded via rear ramp.
