Meteor SpA formed 1947 in Trieste, factory at Monfalcone building sailplanes and related equipment. Took over Lombardi (AVIA) and developed AVIA FL.3 into Meteor FL.53, 54 and 55. These further developed using engines of Meteor design, final models being Bis (110-hp) and Super (220-hp).
