TYPE: Side-by-side ultralight/kitbuilt.

PROGRAMME: Prototype (82.0 kW; 110 hp Hirth F30 engine and full-span flaperons) complete by July 2001 and immediately shipped to France for test flying by Rand Kar. Debut at Blois Air Show, September 2001. Launched at Paris, 15-22 June 2003, when second of planned six development and demonstrator aircraft was shown.

CURRENT VERSIONS: Hanuman 602T: '60 horsepower, two-stroke' version with Rotax 582 engine.
Hanuman Jabiru: Jabiru 2200 engine.

COSTS: In India, Rs1,400,000 flyaway, with Jabiru 2200. In Europe, basic kit €11,497; engine and instruments €8,239 extra for Rotax or €11,630 for Jabiru; flyaway price €22,104 with Rotax or €25,902 with Jabiru (all 2003, plus tax).

DESIGN FEATURES: Further development of X-Air/Gumnam, redesigned for even faster kit assembly. High wing with V strut bracing; upward-swept rear fuselage and sweptback fin.

FLYING CONTROLS: Conventional and manual. Plain flaps, maximum deflection 25o. Ailerons and flaps actuated by pushrods; rudder and elevators by cables. Flight adjustable trim tab on starboard elevator. No aerodynamic balances.

STRUCTURE: Metal tube fuselage and wings with Dacron covering, except composites forward fuselage. Wire-braced empennage.

LANDING GEAR: Tricycle type, fixed. Mainwheels and steerable nosewheel all 3.50-8. Bungee cord levered suspension. Cable-actuated mainwheel brakes.

POWER PLANT: One 48.0 kW (64.4 hp) water-cooled Rotax 582 two-stroke driving an Arplast EcoProp three-blade, ground-adjustable pitch, composites propeller; or one 59.7 kW (80 hp) air-cooled Jabiru 2200 four-stroke with two-blade composites propeller. Fuel capacity 80 litres (21.1 US gallons; 17.6 Imp gallons).
