TYPE: Side-by-side ultralight kitbuilt.

PROGRAMME: US prototype, built by Just Aircraft LLC of Caldwell, Iadho, first flew (N116JA, Rotax engine) 22 February 2003 and made its public debut at Sun 'n' Fun, Lakeland, Florida, 2 to 8 April 2003; UK prototype (G-ESCA, Jabiru engine) followed on 2 June 2003, with debut at PFA International Rally, Kemble, 11 to 13 July 2003.

COSTS: Kit, excluding engine, £10,433 or US$14,500, plus tax (2003).

DESIGN FEATURES: Baseline requirements included wide, dual control cockpit, nose- or tailwheel options, high commonality with Easy Raider, wide C of G range, 70 kt cruise and 35 kt, stall and wide range of alternative engines.
Fuselage similar to Skystar Kitfox Lite², but with slight stretch and several detail improvements, married to wing of Reality Easy Raider. Wing braced by V struts; wire-braced empennage. Conforms to BCAR Section S.

FLYING CONTROLS: Conventional and manual. Cable actuation. Flight-adjustable tab in port elevator. Flaps; maximum deflection 40°. Optional electric elevator trim.

STRUCTURE: Chromoloy 4130 steel tube fuselage with fabric covering and composites engine cowling. Wings as for Easy Raider.

LANDING GEAR: Tricycle or tailwheel; fixed. Rubber-in-tension (bungee) suspension with X-type bracing rods. Mainwheels 6.00-6; solid, steerable Matco tailwheel. Optional hydraulic disc brakes.

POWER PLANT: Options include 37.0 kW (49.6 hp) Rotax 503 driving a three-blade Powerfin composites propeller; 59.6 kW (79.9 hp) Rotax 912 UL with two-blade Powerfin propeller; and 59.7 kW (80 hp) Jabiru 2200 with two-blade Powerfin or Newton wood propeller. Fuel capacity 72 litres (19.0 US gallons; 15.8 Imp gallons).
