SIDDELEY

Siddeley-Deasy Motor Car Co. Ltd., Parkside, Coventry, produced engines from 1916 and D.H.10, BE.2c/2e, RE.7 and RE.8, and also designed and built Siddeley RT.1 (supposed improved RE.8), SR.2 Siskin (starting point for greatly improved Armstrong Whitworth Siskin) and Sinaia bomber built as Mks I, II and III respectively with 2 x 486-hp Siddeley Tiger (no relation to later Armstrong Siddeley Tiger), 600-hp Condor and 500-hp Galloway Atlantic. In 1919, despite having virtually no orders, John Siddeley's board took decision to form Sir W.G. Armstrong Whitworth Aircraft and Armstrong Siddeley Motors.
