F.G. Miles Ltd formed Redhill, Surrey, June 1951, moving 1952 to Shoreham Airport, Sussex, directors including Mr and Mrs F.G. Miles and George H. Miles. Built up important business in plastics and electronics, and flew prototypes of HDM.105 Aerovan with Hurel-Dubois-type wing 31 March 1957 and M.100 Student twin-jet trainer 14 May 1957. Aircraft work absorbed into Beagle-Miles October 1960.
