SFCA

Société Française de Constructions Aéronautiques formed July 1934 to produce aircraft (initially to designs of M. Maillet) at Surèsnes factory of Blériot-Aéronautique. First was Maillet 20 high-speed 3-seat low-wing monoplane, with fighter-type pilot canopy behind flush tandem enclosed passenger cockpits, Maillet 21 being production version. SFCA Lignel 10, 16, 20 and 30 were Renault-engined racers and advanced trainers in 230/260-mph class. Acquired licence for Peyret tandem-wing single-seater, building this as SFCA Taupin and 2-seat Taupin 5/2.
