Established pre-1909 at Chartres by Robert Savary, building about 12 biplanes (almost all different) pre-1914, 1911 military biplane winning Savary Légion d'Honneur. Retired early 1914 but 2 years later formed R. Savary et H. de la Fresnaye, Levallois-Perret, building over 1,000 aircraft by Armistice, about half of them Nieuports.
