LÉVY

Constructions Aéronautiques J. Lévy was set up 1914 by financier Léon-Georges Levy mainly to build warplanes designed by others. First products were Lévy-Besson flying-boats and bombers, followed by Lévy-Lepen HB2 flying-boats. Company’s own Lévy GL.40 flying-boat (November 1917) was very successful, 100 delivered. Trickle of Lévy-Biche designs ended with LB 2 shipboard fighter (1927), built in series by Levasseur after Lévy closed down.
