Etablissements Letord founded 1908 at Chalais-Meudon to produce balloons and dirigibles. Expanded 1916 with second factory at Lyon-Villeurbanne, building aeroplanes designed by Lt.-Col. Dorand of Service Technique de l'Aéronautique. Letord 1, 2, 3 and 4 were twin-engined backstaggered recon/bomber/fighter types, Letord 5 being sesquiplane, and 7 and 9 were large biplane bombers. Built 2 or 3 prototype or research aircraft 1919-23.
