Registered at Charing Cross Rd, London, January 1913 by Louis Schreck and Lt. Conneau (flying pseudonym André Beaumont). Called Franco-British Aviation because capital mainly British, but works at Argenteuil and also Juvisy and Vernon, all Paris region. Until 1918 produced series of light single-engined pusher flying-boats used for coastal and anti-U-boat patrol. Over 1,000 supplied to French navy of Type H alone, and Savoia in Italy built a further 982. Over 2,000 used by non-French Allied navies. For post-war see Schreck.
