PROGRAMME: Design started June 1999; prototype construction began September 1999; scale model shown at ILA, Berlin, June 2000; assembly of first production aircraft began March 2003; first flight of prototype expected in April 2003 but not yet notified; first customer delivery was due September 2003. Available factory-built only.
CUSTOMERS: Two ordered by May 2001.
COSTS: Estimated €65,000 excluding taxes (2003).
DESIGN FEATURES: Pod-and-boom configuration with pusher propeller; high wing with constant chord on inner three-quarters and two-stage sweepback on outer panels. Mid-mounted tailplane and sweptback fin.
FLYING CONTROLS: Conventional and manual. Electric trim.
STRUCTURE: Aluminium fuselage structure with carbon fibre sandwich covering, except Kevlar reinforcement around cockpit. Carbon fibre wings.
LANDING GEAR: Tricycle type; fixed. Steerable nosewheel. Speed fairings on all wheels.
POWER PLANT: One digitally controlled 84.6 kW (113.4 hp) Rotax 914 F flat-four driving a pusher propeller. 59.6 kW (79.9 hp) Rotax 912 UL optional. Fuel capacity 70 litres (18.5 US gallons; 15.4 Imp gallons).
EQUIPMENT: BRS 05 UL softback parachute recovery system.
