Wolf Hirth, famous pilot and pre-war builder of sailplanes (later he worked at Schempp-Hirth), supplied wood parts for many wartime aircraft, and restarted company post-war to support Bölkow programmes, later largely owned by DASA. From 1970 made small numbers of Acrostar aerobatic aircraft.
