Company restructured 22 December 1972, initially 65% Daimler-Benz but this holding since transferred to Deutsche Aerospace (DASA). All aviation activities managed by subsidiary Dornier Luftfahrt GmbH, partner in Alpha Jet and EFA, subcontractor to Airbus, upgrading UH-1D and Atlantic, integrated avionics for NATO E-3A. Sales of Do 228 twin-turboprop reached 205 by 1992, plus Indian licence (see HAL). Do 328 (6 December 1991) was produced in 1990s. In 1996 company acquired by Fairchild Aircraft.
