TYPE: Side-by-side ultralight/kitbuilt.

PROGRAMME: Certified in Czech Republic, Finland, France and Germany; public debut at Friedrichshafen Air Show, may 1997. All are subvariants of Fantasy Cora. Legato subvariant no longer marketed. Production rate three per month in 2001.
A new wing profile was first tested in May 2002. Revealed in the same month were plans to fit a Diesel Air D280 twin-piston engine, derated to 60.0 kW (80 hp); these were in abeyance by October 2002.

CURRENT VERSIONS: Allegro ST: Baseline version; 47.8 kW (64.1 hp) Rotax 582 UL. Remains available.
Allegro 200: As ST, but with 55.0 kW (73.8 hp) Rotax 618 UL. Remains available.
Allegro 2000: Introduced from 1 March 2000 (kit version introduced September 2000); 59.6 kW (79.9 hp) Rotax 912 Ul or (Allegro S) 73.5 kW (98.6 hp) 912 ULS. SportProp glass fibre or VZLU V331-3NC wooden three-blade propeller. Quoted build time 510 hours. Certified in Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland and Germany. SM 701 aerofoil section introduced by early 2003.
Allegro SW: Short-span (Speed Wing) version, without taper on outer panels. New SM 701 aerofoil section wing and 47.8 kW (64.1 hp) Rotax 582 UL or 59.6 kW (79.9 hp) Rotax 912 UL. German marketing only with Rotax 912 UL and propeller options as for Allegro 2000. Four to France in September 1999, where certification subsequently awarded; also certified in Czech Republic and Spain. Kit version available from 1 March 2000.
Allegro 2000 F (formerly Arrius F): Float-equipped, standard-span wing (SM 701 section) and Rotax 912 UL or 912 ULS. Two to Finland in August 1999. First flight (converted Allegro, OK-DUU 03) 5 November 1999.

CUSTOMERS: Total 70 (51 kits and 19 factory-built, including a few Cora Legatos) registered in Czech Republic by November 2000. Exports to Finland and Hungary in 2000. Total sales by October 2002 exceeded 140, including 75 in Czech Republic, 27 in France and 17 in Germany; 32 built in 2000, 35 in 2001 and 35 planned for 2002.

COSTS: Allegro 2000 €55,445; Allegro SW €52,915 (all 2003, incl tax).

DESIGN FEATURES: Braced high-wing monoplane; T tail; tapered outer panels on 2000 and Arius, constant chord throughout on SW, UA-2 aerofoil section on ST and 200, improved SM 701 on 2000, SW and Arius; dihedral 1o 10' on Allegro 2000; 1o 30' on Allegro SW.

FLYING CONTROLS: Conventional and manual. Electrically actuated flaperons (settings 0/15/48o). In-flight-adjustable tab in port half of elevator; ground-adjustable rudder tab.

STRUCTURE: Fabric- and metal-covered metal wings with welded steel tube centre-section and full-span metal flaperons; laminated glass fibre fuselage and integral fin; all-metal rudder, tailplane and one-piece elevator.

LANDING GEAR: Fixed tricycle with Kevlar cantilever mainwheel legs and 350 mm wheels, rubber-block shock-absorbers, hydraulic mainwheel brakes and steerable nosewheel; wheel spats. Full Lotus twin-float gear to be certified for Airus F; testing undertaken (with Ok-DUU 03) in August 2001.

POWER PLANT: One Rotax engine (details under Current Versions); SportProp three-blade, glass fibre or Junkers Profly two-blade, ground-adjustable pitch, carbon fibre propeller. Fuel capacity 55 litres (14.5 US gallons; 12.1 Imp gallons).

EQUIPMENT: Junkers recovery parachute optional.
