TYPE: Two-seat lightplane; side-by-side kitbuilt.

PROGRAMME: Prototype first flew (OK-KUR 20) 15 June 2005, then immediately shipped to US (N599PP assigned) for further trials and debut at AirVenture, Oshkosh, 25 to 31 July 2005. Initial deliveries (beginning N595PP) then scheduled for second quarter of 2006. LSA approval granted January 2006.

Experimental: Proposed version for higher weight category; 93 kW (125 hp) or similar engine; cruising speed 130 kt (241 km/h; 150 mph); range unaltered.

COSTS: USD75,500 flyaway with Rotax engine or USD78.500 with Jabiru; USD39,500 fast-build kit, plus USD20,890 for full Rotax engine kit. (All 2006.)

DESIGN FEATURES: Optimised for US LSA category, but also suitable for Experimental category. Crew envisaged as each weighing 113 kg (250 lb) and 1.88 m (6 ft 2 in) tall.
High wing immediately behind cockpit; conical section rear fuselage with sweptback fin and low tailplane with sweptback leading-edge.
Wing sweepforward 7° at main spar; 5° at leading-edge.

FLYING CONTROLS: Conventional and manual. Horn-balanced rudder; single-piece elevator; flight-adjustable trim tabs in elevator and port aileron. Electrically actuated flaps.

STRUCTURE: Generally of riveted aluminium.

LANDING GEAR: Tricycle type; fixed. All tyres 5.00-5. Steerable nosewheel. Optional wheel fairings. Optional floats.

POWER PLANT: One 73.5 kW (98.6 hp) Rotax 912 ULS flat-four driving a three-blade, carbon fibre, ground-adjustable pitch propeller. Optionally, one 89kW (120 hp) Jabiru 3300 flat-six; and choice of two-blade manual or electric in-flight adjustable pitch propellers. Two wing fuel tanks, standard combined capacity 100 litres (26.4 US gallons; 22.0 Imp gallons). Optional long range wing tanks.

ACCOMMODATION: Two persons side-by-side beneath forward-hinged, single-piece canopy/windscreen. Large baggage area behind seats.

EQUIPMENT: Optional BRS ballistic recovery parachute.
