SKODA-KAUBA

Austrian Otto Kauba interested RLM in proposal for flying-bomb, set up Skoda-Kauba Flugzeugbau Prague February 1942, building various piloted prototypes VI, VIA, V2, followed by unrelated V3 sporting aircraft. V4 single-seat fighter/trainer led to 4 excellent SK 257 prototypes built by Avia and RLM contract for mass-production, but workmanship at production plant at Trencin, Slovakia, caused rejection. S-K works produced many further projects including V5 advanced fighter, P 14 ramjet interceptor, twin-boom V6, canard V7 and conventional V8 trainer, flown on skis late 1944.
