MRAZ

During Second World War Chocen factory of former Benes-Mraz built Fi 156 Storch and training gliders, and also prototype M.1C Sokol. Management reconstituted 1946 as Automobilove Zavody Mraz, with glider-making subsidiary at Nitra. Produced numerous M.1 Sokol and smaller numbers of M.2 Skaut and M.3 Bonzo, all low-wing cabin monoplanes, together with civilian Mraz Cap version of Storch. Lost identity on nationalization 1949, factory becoming CZ Automobilove A Letecke, later Let.
