KLN’s VL-3 originated in design offices of Vanessa Air s.r.o at Litomyšl, a company managed by Ing Miroslav Kábrt and Petr Kábrt which has produced some 12 previous light aircraft concepts. KLN was established in 1990 by Karel and Nadia Klenor as a manufacturer of composites aerostructures and components for motor vehicles, sanitary ware and other applications.
