Former Agricopteros Ltda established by Sen Tedesco in 1971, initially producing own autogyro and biplane agricultural sprayers and, from 1982, acting as local agent for RotorWay 162 two-seat helicopter. In 1980 built first of 12 Goldwing glass fibre canards and began manufacture of low-wing versions of metal Zenair designs, these leading to MXP-640 Amigo and MXP-650 Amigo-S. MXP-740 Savannah and MXP-740-F aerial sprayer based on Zenair CH-701 formula; both Amigo and Savannah later manufactured independently in Europe by ICP. MXP-100 Aventura open ultralight.
Became Technologias Aeronauticas (Aerot) in 1988 and began marketing MXP-800 Fantasy in 2002. Further change to current company name was followed by launch of MXP-1000 Tayrona in 2005. By that trme had produced some 450 aircraft, of which 80 per cent exported.
