TYPE: Business jet.

PROGRAMME: Project initiated in 1998 by small team of designers, inventors and scientists. Computer simulations at Lausanne followed by flight trials of scale model.

DESIGN FEATURES: Characteristic aerofoil includes marked arrow-shaped leading edge for speeds in excess of 486 kt (900 km/h; 559 mph). Low-aspect ratio minimises torsional forces and obviates flutter; low wing loading permits slow speed without life-enhancing aids. Concept combines advantages of flying wing and lifting body designs, as well as retaining stability and controllability of conventional designs. Low manufacturing costs and specific fuel consumption.

POWER PLANT: Two small turbofans.

ACCOMMODATION: Nine passengers, plus two crew.
