AVRO CANADA

A.V. Roe Canada was formed by Hawker Siddeley Group 1945, taking over Malton (Toronto) plant of Victory Aircraft. Produced C-102 Jetliner, CF-100 all-weather interceptor (689 built), CF-105 Arrow advanced supersonic interceptor (cancelled January 1959 when 6 built) and Avrocar 'flying saucer'; gas turbine division became Orenda Engines.
