TYPE: Single-seat ultralight kitbuilt.

PROGRAMME: Original Aerosport company developed and produced three earlier versions of the SupaPup from the mid-1980s onwards; SupaPup Mk 4 first flown in early 1998. Some registered as lightplanes; most as ultralights with 300 kg (661 lb) MTOW limitation under CAO 95 Pt 10.

COSTS: Kit, less engine A$18,000 (2002).

DESIGN FEATURES: Strut-braced, high-wing cabin monoplane; wings fold rearwards for storage or transportation without disconnection of fuel lines or control runs. Quoted build time 250 hours.
Wing dihedral 2°.

FLYING CONTROLS: Conventional and manual via torque tubes and cables.

STRUCTURE: Welded steel tube fuselage covered in Stitts fabric; glass fibre engine cowling and wingtips.

LANDING GEAR: Tailwheel type; fixed.

POWER PLANT: One 34.0 kW (45.6 hp) Rotax 503 UL-1V two-cylinder two-stroke or 40.3 kW (54 hp) Jabiru 1600 four-cylinder four-stroke. Jabiru 2200 and Rotax 582 and 618 also suitable. Fuel contained in wing tanks, combined capacity 54 litres (14.3 US gallons; 11.9 Imp gallons).
