KINGSFORD SMITH

Sir Charles Kingsford Smith established Air Service at Bankstown, Sydney, 1935, which became KS Aviation Service 1946, deciding 1955 to produce ag-aircraft to local requirements. Designer Pellarini produced Kingsford Smith PL.7 (21 September 1956), a sesquiplane with tail carried on booms, followed by more conventional KS.3 Cropmaster. Small number built when company taken over by Victa 1963, while Yeoman further developed Cropmaster. KSAS was agent for Auster and produced improved Autocrat as Kingsmith and improved Autocar as Bushmaster.
