Unlike all UK companies, HDH has managed to survive machinations of successive British governments, and still exists profitably at Bankstown, Sydney, as member of Hawker Siddeley Group. Though major participant in RAAF/RAN programmes such as Black Hawk/Seahawk, Hornet and PC-9/A, principal activity is high-quality airframe subcontract for Airbus, Boeing and McDonnell Douglas. One recent risk-sharing agreement makes HDH responsible for supplying McDonnell Douglas with all airframes for Explorer helicopter.
