NATIONAL AERONAUTICS AND SPACE ADMINISTRATION
NASA has slightly increased expenditure on research and development allied to aerospace technology during the past year or so, but space science and space flight activity continues to receive the greater share of the annual budget. For FY04, total of US$15.47 billion requested, including US$959 million for aeronautics technology. Personnel totalled just over 18,000 at beginning of June 2003. Prime NASA concerns have traditionally been, and continue to be, R&D, rather than operationally driven.
