BELLANCA

Northern became Downer, then Inter-Air (making Viking, an improved Cruisemaster) and, in 1967, Bellanca Sales, subsidiary of Miller Flying Service. Bought Champion Aircraft 1970, name becoming Bellanca Aircraft Corp. Products included Model 7 Citabria (Airbatic spelt backwards), Model 8 Decathlon and Scout utility versions, all at same Minnesota plant. Became wholly-owned subsidiary of Anderson, Greenwood, of Houston, Texas, 1978, and henceforth developed and marketed T-250 Aries high-speed 5-seater and Eagle ag-aircraft. Work stopped 1980, liquidation 1981, assets sold 1982 to Viking. See also Bellanca Inc.
