AEROCOMP INC
Formed in 1993 and previously known for its production of floats, Aerocomp markets the Comp Air 3 and 4 kitbuilts, together with six-, seven-, eight- and 10-seat versions, known respectively as the Comp Air 6, 7, 8 and 10. Aerocomp acquired production rights for the Merlin GT and E-Z Flyer from Merlin Aircraft Inc, and has passed the latter to Blue Yonder Aviation of Canada.
The company had 22 employees in 2003 in its 1,580 m² (17,000 sq ft) factory. In February 2002, Aerocomp announced that it was working on a jet-powered kitbuilt, the CA-J and its turbine-power Comp Air 12 derivative.
