Since establishment in 1990, MVEN has produced parachute ballistic recovery systems for various types of aircraft. In 1995 it was incorporated within the Scientific Research Institute of Aeronautical Technologies and began the manufacture of light aircraft fuselages and components under subcontract to Chernov and others. The company's first aircraft, the MVEN-1 agricultural sprayer was shown at the Gelendzhik Hydroaviation Salon in September 2002, three months before its maiden flight.
