As part of its restructuring under the Konversiya policy, since 1993, it has produced components for the Sukhoi Su-29 two-seat aerobatic aircraft and developed the Dubna-1/2 series of light aircraft. Two Su-29 fuselages were built in 2000.
The single-seat Dubna-1 Shmel was simular to the current Osa. Dubna has an agreement to build light aircraft designed by MKB Raduga, whose precision-guided weapons are also manufactured by DMZ. The company had some 1,000 employees in early 2002 and is 60 per cent owned by the State.
