TYPE: Business twin-prop.

PROGRAMME: Promotion begun at ILA Berlin, 6 May 2002. First flight targeted for 2004, with JAR 23 IFR certification and first customer deliveries in 2005.

CURRENT VERSIONS: Initial version as described. Projected developments include an air ambulance and aerial surveillance variant, a stretched six/seven-seat variant with uprated engines, and a shortened, four-seat single-engine derivative, all having the same basic airframe.

COSTS: €450,000 plus tax (2002).

DESIGN FEATURES: Design aims include speed and economy, achieved in part by internal mounting of engines for reduced frontal area and use of diesel power. Consumption 79 litres (20.9 US gallons; 17.4 Imp gallons)/h at normal cruise; 58 litres (15.3 US gallons; 12.8 Imp gallons)/h at econ cruise. Specific range, respectively, 3.84 n miles/kg and 4.80 n miles/kg. Mid-mounted wing. T tail. Two internal turbo-diesel engines connected by tubular drive-shafts to propellers mounted on upward-canted pylons at fuselage shoulders behind wing trailing-edge.
Wing section NASA LS(1)-0413, dihedral 4° 30', incidence 1°, sweepback at leading-edge 12°. Tail section LWK 80-120/K25, no dihedral.

FLYING CONTROLS: Conventional and manual with sidesticks. Hydraulically actuated ailerons, elevator and rudder; electrically actuated single-slotted Fowler flaps; electric trim.

STRUCTURE: Composites carbon fibre sandwich throughout. Wing has two spars and four ribs; fuselage has two bulkheads and one frame; two-spar tailplane; single-spar fin.

LANDING GEAR: Retractable tricycle type, electrohydraulically actuated. Single wheel on each trailing-link main unit, twin nosewheels. Main units of aluminium 7075 and 1.4548, retracting inward into wings; nosewheels retract forward. Mainwheels Goodyear 6.50-8. SICOM carbon brakes.

POWER PLANT: Two 228 kW (306 hp) TAE Centurion 4.0 V-8 turbocharged diesel engines, each driving an MT-Propeller MTV-25-1-DCF/CF175-512 five-blade constant-speed fully feathering propeller. Fuel capacity 617 litres (163 US gallons; 136 Imp gallons).

ACCOMMODATION: Pilot and four passengers in two-one-two configuration (centre seat rearward-facing) in pressurised cabin with baggage space behind seats; differential 0.37 bar (5.5 lb sq/in); door forward of wing on port side;emergency exit on starboard side; two cabin windows each side.

SYSTEMS: Hydraulic and electrical systems; liquid de-icing system standard.

AVIONICS: IFR fit, with three-screen EFIS comprising one each PFD, MFD and EICAS.
